The single point rubric gives teachers and students simplicity in understanding criteria and next steps for improvement. As a result, they are slowly becoming a popular tool for assessment. If you create one, please share and I will post it for others to see!
Grading from the Inside Out is a very good book that describes how to develop a standard-based mindset for assessment. It is a highly recommended read. If you are unable to get your hands on this book, visit his website, as it is also full of information.
