For those of you that attended the BCAMT presentation at the YTA Conference, you will appreciate this website. It includes instructional ideas, assessment ideas and resources.
This website is created by a group of BC K-12 educators who wanted to explore the following inquiry question: How might a framework of a balanced numeracy lead to increased capacity and confidence in math teaching, ultimately resulting in deeper learning for our students? From this, six components to blanked numeracy was developed. The six components are Foundations, Assessment, Instructional Practices, Engagement, Connections, and Environment.
